Walked today from Los Arcos to Logrono in perfect weather. Temperature in the low 20s with a gentle breeze, clear blue skies with distant views of snow -capped mountains. Everyone smiling and last week's rain forgotten (although the river Ebro obviously swollen.)

Come and join us!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

As a metric-impaired USAmerican I have to translate Celsius temperatures:

30 is hot
20 is nice
10 is cold
0 is ice

Which means that the temperature is now somewhere between “nice” and “hot.” A brisk walk adds 5-10 degrees, so for a walker it’s now “hot.”

Damn! And it’s not even May yet!

:)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
0 C = 32 F
10 = 50
20 = 68
30 = 86
40 = 104 That’s hot and it’s the temp the day I walked into Villafranca last June. Enjoy the nice weather. I wish I were there.

I can do the math but I like the poem better.

By the time it’s 80F / 26.67C I’m sweating. Oh, for the pleasure of walking in the 10C range...

DEEP pea green with envy!!! It's so hard to not be on the Camino!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I stayed at SAN Marcos Albergue in Palas de Rei and there was a throng of high school students who checked in after I got there. Lol. You can imagine the energy of 50 boys. Great to see young people on the trail. I am in Riabidos tonight. No youngsters here.
So why am I up in the middle of the night?
Too much food.
