New socks and underwear day is better than my birthday... unless I got new socks and underwear for my birthday!!

Only if the socks are THE socks! My husband had drawer full of socks but only rotates among about 3 pairs. You'd think he was always on Camino!

You know, the crazy thing is that here at home I wear these cheap cotton no-show socks walking and to the gym and never get a blister, but wearing my expensive merino smart wool socks for right and left feet I got two blisters on the camino wearing the same type of shoes. Go figure! Still love the smart wool sets though...

Just a guess but... you probably didn't walk 20-30kms at the gym for 30+ days in a row!
