Sil, I think you would like the following book, if you haven't already read it:

Pilgrimage to the End of the World, by Conrad Rudolph. He's a non-religious, rationalist type that walked from Le Puy to Finisterre - quite a trek. Despite his rational leanings, he was quite affected by the Way.

The book is a bit dated for route and albergue info - he walked in the 90s. But his insights are interesting and timeless...lots of good photos w/detailed captions as well... :arrow:

Amazing - I ordered it over the weekend.
I saw it advertised on this site for under £3 and ordered it from Amazon.
 
Rent a house in Santiago (1 month minimum)
300m from the cathedral and around the corner from the fresh food market in Santiago. Perfect place to tele commute from (1GB symmetrical connection).
Camino walkers love this gripping, intriguing, mystery with history novel.
