Thanks so much for posting this link. A long time before the internet came along I walked from Petra to Wadi Rum and on day, if His grace and circumstances allow would very much like to return and walk the entire length. What I did walk was tough though compensated by stunningly beautiful desert and the nights, while spent in a small tent and bitterly cold had the most canopy of stars ! Highly recommend and hopefully one day, I will be there again.
