Here I am at 1 am, leaving a rainy Cork city by bus on a 3 hour trip to Dublin airport.6.25 am flight to Madrid and bus to Burgos to continue where I left off last year.I should get there by about 2 pm later today.
Hey its my birthday today,65.I am full of enthusium and wanting to hit the ground running by starting to walk straight after getting off the bus,is this crazy ? Last year I spent 2 days in Burgos so Im thinking to just start walking immediatly to clock up a few kilometers on first day, what do ye think? I am planning to not book ahead as much as possible as I like the freedom of that.
Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers.

Wow. Happy birthday.
What a way to celebrate, @roamingpaddy !
May your journey be smooth...

Yeah, I'd say go to Rabe, to stay at Liberanos Domine. You'll be arriving late so maybe book ahead that first night.

Sounds like a great plan! First half of the day out of Burgos is not all that great—just keep finding those yellow arrows—but the next day is really nice. Happy Birthday! Buen Camino!!

Wow, that was fast. Wonderful!
You're just in time for mass with the nuns down the street. 7:30 I think.
