The O Cebreiro Bus Stop

Time of past OR future Camino
First one in 1977 by train. Many since then by foot. Next one ASAP.
Where is it, exactly? I once bussed thru from Piedrafita to SdeC and the bus stopped for O Cebreiro, but not where I had expected it to stop! It stopped just before reaching the village, not where any normal peregrino would think to wait for it. And I can't recall seeing any signage.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
The bus stops on the main road. Not in the village itself. If you are heading for Triacastela and Sarria it stops on the far side of the road and you have to walk across to board it.

Many thanks..... But, amigo mio, is that the voice of experience speaking, or merely the map speaking? When I bussed thru in 2021 (w. a hurt foot!) the MONBUS actually stopped several hundred yards before passing the spot designated on the map shown. I recall that it stopped where there was a paved pullover on the right side of the road, and the word "BUS" painted there in yellow on the pavement. It did not stop at the point designated on the map!

Advancing age and serious osteoporosis incline me to consider bussing in leisurely stages from O Cebreriro into the West, next time.... (I certainly don't need any more compostelas) …. and I wouldn't want to miss the bus!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I have not boarded a bus there myself but I have seen a bus stopping there. And it seems to fit with this post from a few months back. It would be a good idea to confirm the location with local people since there seem to be no signs marking the stop. Perhaps it is used informally as an alternative to the official stop outside the village? Best to check locally on the day.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
last year at this time the bus stopped just as bradypus says above. just walk across the road down the steps from the restaurant right there. the bus stop wasn't marked but the bus pulled up right on time but wave him down when you see him coming. he dropped me in front of the pharmacy in triacastella as i needed some medical help. hope that helps!
