The red bell button

Dear all,

You might see a small bell button on the lower part of your screen (it does not show up in all browsers)... this is an experiment I am working on related to notifications.

The idea is that you can subscribe to notifications form the forum, and receive them even when not browsing the forum. All optional, it is off by default.

I am working on not having the bell show up all the time. My idea is to have it go away after you have made your initial response (Yes or no), right now it is there all the time. So, a work in progress..

Hope this can be useful for some and for those that already are being bombarded with notifications... that you just turn it off.

Greetings from Santiago,
Ivar

Thank you for the heads up. Oh by the way, I like the "Camino Angel"l under the Donating Member logo.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Ivar. I noticed that sometime in the past month the "Donating Member" badge that appeared below my avatar has disappeared. Is that because there is a time limit and mine has expired? Thanks, John

You should be able to confirm your status by going to Your account, Account upgrades, and scrolling down to see "Purchased upgrades". It gives the expiry date of your last upgrade.
