"The Reluctant Pilgrim" - One older man's account of his journey from St Jean to Santiago

"The Reluctant Pilgrim" is an amusing and uplifting account of my journey from St Jean to Santiago, setting out with my two brothers and niece. It is a day by day account of happenings along the trail, some difficult, some heart warming and truly inspirational. These recounted incidents will no doubt be familiar to those who have done the walk, and will hopefully inspire and assist those planning to do it in the future.

The Reluctant Pilgrim is a great read! I bought the book from the author, Paul Huschilt, at the Canadian Company of Pilgrims spring meeting in Toronto. [I wouldn't call him an 'older man'!] His story was funny, interesting, and engaging, but I had to put it down near the end because I didn't want the journey to be over--just like I felt on the Camino Frances, nearing Santiago. Eventually I got brave, picked it up again, and enjoyed the ending. I highly recommend The Reluctant Pilgrim.

There are two books with the same title and different authors! I'm just reading the one by Serge De Nardo: quite entertaining, but he is another person who walks too far each day and suffers for it!
