I've been getting some good updates on the Spanish forum about the Salvador, its vastly improved signage, and the new off-road portions between Campomanes and Pola de Lena. This mostly seems to be due to the efforts and limitless energy of a peregrino named Ender, in fact the new arrows all across the Salvador are known as "las flechas de Ender." I can't wait to follow them!
Reb, since you've walked, these arrows have apparently sprouted up everywhere, but the barbed wire fences between Poladura and Payares remain, I believe. We wouldn't want this route to become too easy and comfortable, now would we.
Anyway, Ender has set up a facebook page for the Camino del Salvador, http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003135170422
I imagine that updates and news will all be posted there, so it's a great resource. Buen camino, Laurie
