I'm finding all the information about getting around in Spain a bit overwhelming. What's the easiest way to get from the Madrid airport to St Jean? I thought buses would be the least expensive way, but is it hard to make reservations or get buses while I'm there with very limited Spanish? does Ryan Air fly anywhere near to St Jean? Also, would it be wise to book all my flights/ buses in advance? Or is it easy to get tickets as you go along? Sorry for so many maybe silly questions, it's just hard to figure out the best/easiest, least expensive way to get there from Colorado. I would really appreciate any advice anyone could give me.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
If you begin your Camino in StJPdeP, it would be wise to fly to Paris and then Biarritz/Bayonne.

However if you land in Madrid be prepared to take buses and/or trains to get to Roncesvalles and taxis to St JPdeP.

Once you decide there will be a lot of people ready to assist you.

Thanks, yeah, it looks like the best bet may be to fly to London and then switch over to Ryanair going to Biaritz. They do have very good deals. I could also then fly back to London for a return flight directly from SdeC. It is so expensive to fly to Europe right now! London is the cheapest by far.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
