Timberland boots

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
This happened to one of my Anniewalkers in SJPP!
She put her shoes on in the morning, got halfway to Roncesvalles, and realized she had picked up someone else's shoes in the dark morning.

Personally, I think it's your FIRST CAMINO BLESSING!
Those boots would destroy my feet on the Camino.
Pick up a pair of trail runners in Pamplona!

I suggest you do something to make it easy to recognize your shoes.
Crazy shoelaces, nail polish or fabric paint

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
I have worn Timberland boots on all three of my caminos, and currently have a new pair to wear on my fourth. If your current footwear fits and you cannot contact the other walker, you may just have to accept your replacement boots. But accidentally sticking my feet into someone else's shoes once in the past has shown me the possible disaster to the person whose shoes I took. It is easy to walk away with shoes/boots that are similar to yours and a little bit large, but impossible for the unfortunate inheritor of your footwear. I hope that you have contacted someone at your last night's accommodation to pass on this information.
