Agenda

1:30pm Welcome and Introductions

1:40pm Rocco Rossi.

Rocco has been deeply involved with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, has sat on a number of private, public and charitable boards. He is a graduate of McGill University (BA honours) and Princeton University (MA Politics). Rocco has kayaked 490 km solo from Toronto to Ottawa, cycled the entire 1900 km length of Yonge Street from Rainy River to Toronto, and climbed the 7 tallest office towers in Toronto enough times over three days to equal the height of Mt. Everest.

Rocco has walked 900 km of the Camino de Santiago -twice- raising funds and awareness for various Heart and Stroke Foundation initiatives. He was a keynote speaker during the opening of the “Sacred Steps Art of the Camino” exhibition. He is a wonderful speaker who has found peace and learned to lighten life’s load while on “the way”.

1-As part of the “coffee break” portion of the meeting, we are requesting pilgrims bring their Camino photographs and display them during the break time.

2-We all have a variety of “gently used” hiking equipment that we no longer want/need or can fit into. The chapter is seeking donations that we can sell during the coffee break with all proceeds going directly to a worthwhile pilgrim’s hostel. Books related to the Camino are also welcome.

3-A “non-perishable” food item is requested to assist the local food bank
