These are photos from the second half of the Chemin D'Arles in 2019. As poor speakers of French we started with some trepidation which was totally unfounded - people along the walk were overwhelmingly kind and helpful, both locals and other walkers. A beautiful walk, well-marked with the GR red and white lines systems. Just remember that nobody serves lunch or opens their shop after one o'clock in the afternoon.

Thank you so much for these.

A wonderfully evocative set of photos, thank you so much for posting. I especially loved the fields of sunflowers, such a beacon of hope! Am guessing it was early Autumn when you walked?

Thank you Dick Bird. Your gorgeous photos bring back fond memories. Arles-SDC is too little walked.

When you continue on to the Aragones, you will encounter the albergue at Arres. It was my best albergue experience ever. Do not miss.

Thank you the comments. It was actually high summer, July 2019, and a heat wave which broke (as you can see) just before we reached Somport. Luckily, the old gites and albergues were mostly built of three-foot thick stone, so delightfully cool in the hottest day. Cheers and buen camino.

You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. This is the village of Arrés. We did stay there (and eventually reached Santiago), and it was wonderful.
