Hi all, i have 2 questions.

I will be arriving around 18-19u next month in Bayonne. I see that the last train to SJPDP already is at 18.20u. is that right? If so, are there any options after the last train on how to get there? Because i will probably miss the train

And i also see that the pilgrims office closes at 8pm. Where can you get the pilgrims passport after that hour?

Thank you so much and have a nice day!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
When I arrived in Bayonne the first time, due to a train strike, there was no service to SJPP. Fortunately, a number of us on the train were in the situation. Four of us shared a taxi to SJPP. Although more expensive than a train ticket, the cost was still in the “reasonable”
range as the cost of the ride was split four ways.

If that isn’t a possibility for you, I’d suggest spending the night in Bayonne and then catching the first train out in the morning. Bayonne is a wonderful French town and depending on how long you traveled to get to that point, it would be a good place to rest up a bit before your Camino. After a morning arrival in SJPP, you could easily get your credencial at the Pilgrim’s Office.

Check out the SNCF website for a timetable of trains from Bayonne-SJPP.

I arrived in 2019 on a sunday evening and the staff of the fabulous Pilgrims Office opened for the late evening train to serve the incoming pilgrims.

You may contact the Express Bourricot for possible transport.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
There's a Facebook group that organises late transfers
