Time of past OR future Camino
Frances June 2018
Central Portuguese April 2019 8 weeks post hip replacement!
Hello all Pilgrims!
This is my first post on here. My son and I are attempting, and clearly planning to finish, the Camino Frances during June. I have been full of questions but am in the very fortunate position to have a sister and her family who have been on the Camino several times. However, I thought I might try this forum as I have been eagerly reading many of the very informative posts.

Is it possible to arrive in Bayonne by train at 1805 and catch the 1812 TER to SJPP?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Yes. The trains run on time, and I suspect that the train (or bus if it is being substituted) will wait for the arriving train. There are no assigned seats on the SJPdP, and there is standing room, so it is a bit casual.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Its very tight but doable!

The Bayonne station is small and the staff are helpful and used to tourists as well as pilgrims. Multiple video screens throughout the station display arrivals/departures as does a large board in lobby.

If you were to have more time the adjacent station cafe boasts many handy plugs for recharging your computer or smartphone; relax and have a drink or simple meal.

Bon voyage and Buen camino!

Thank you, that makes my day, as I am keen to get to SJPdP, get a good nights sleep and get up bright and fresh in the morning to start our first stage of the Camino! :)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.
