Trains or Buses from Biarritz airport to St Jean Pied de Por

Two of my friends and I are planning on travelling from Paris to St Jean Pied de Port to start a trek on May 9th.

My current plan is to fly from Paris on May 8th to Biarritz after which I would take a bus or train to SJPP. The difficulty I'm having is conflicting information regarding buses or trains from Biarritz to Bayonne and onto SJPP. I can't seem to find a scheduled train from Bayonne or a bus schedule. I understand there is some rail work currently underway on the Bayonne to SJPP route. Is anyone aware if the work will be completed or where I can access a train or bus schedule for this time period?

The closest airport to SJPdP is Biarritz/Anglet/Bayonne (BIQ). See Service/Access and Parking/Access for transportation information.

Take the local bus #14 from the doors of BIQ to Gare de Bayonne. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes.

Catch SNCF TER train #62 from Gare de Bayonne to SJPdP. You cannot reserve a seat. Sometimes the train is replaced with a bus ... such as when tracks are under maintenance.

As of June 2015, the train track between Bayonne and SJPP is still out due to damage from a storm a couple years back. The current estimate is that the track will be repaired by October of this year. In the meantime, the train has been replaced by a bus, which leaves at the same times listed for the train. The journey takes approximately the same amount of time, too.
