Transport from Bayonne to SJPdP on Easter Monday?

Two people requiring transport on 22 April (Easter Monday). There Is only a late train into SJPdP that day 22:10. Any suggestion for an alternative when our train from Paris arrives in Bayonne at 15:00? We plan to start our walk on 23 April but would love to see a bit of SJPdP. Plus, not sure about finding accommodation at that late hour? We are newbies to the Camino.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The Easter weekend is usually pretty laid back in France. Lots of shops closed because everyone is spending time with their families. Express Bourricot may be your best way to get there, if they are working that day? You could also try to team up with other pilgrims to hire a taxi.

Hi, Russo, and a warm welcome to the Forum :)

Besides the train, here are a few options, including Express Bouricott which Don mentioned above.

My favorite is Express Bouricott They are comfortable, quick to get to SJPdP, the drive is scenic, and the shuttles are usually full so the fare is usually around 20 Euro. It is easy to email them and ask them if they are running their shuttle service on April 22. I would guess that they are.

Another option is to look for fellow pilgrims as you are boarding the plane to fly to Biarritz, and again while you are in the Biarritz airport: packs, shells, patches, anxious expressions :). Ask if anyone would like to share a taxi, or if anyone has space available to share a ride. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting a few takers. 🤞

The nice thing, too, is that with either Express Bouricott OR asking fellow pilgrims to share a ride, you start getting to know others who are as excited as you are. I developed a good friendship with someone, after meeting them on the Express Bouricott shuttle, who lives on the opposite side of America as I do, and we stay in regular contact to this day.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Thanks for the replies. As you've mentioned, Easter Monday isn't an easy day to be doing anything. I will investigate Express Bouricott to solve my problem. Gracias
