Frances hope to do Le Puy to St John Pied Porte 2015
Hi my wife and I are currently resting up in Espalion. This is to help my wife recover from a dog bite she got a few days back. As resting up will set us back about 5 days we will need to take a bus or train to Cahors. Can anyone advise on what options we have? Have tried checking the web but there doesn't seem to be any clear information.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @bobmar I was sorry to hear about your wife's trauma in the previous post and even more so sorry to hear about the need to catch a bus as Espalion to Moissac is a glorious walk! However, maybe another year.

We found the buses of the Lot very difficult to work out when some friends were trying to catch up with us. In the end we got the information from a tourist office and if you can't get information on the internet that is what I suggest you do. Our friends actually travelled on what appeared to be a school bus, and apparently that is normal. I'm sorry I can't be more precise.

Bobmar,

This Rome2Rio.com site shows a line 25 bus from Espalion to Rodez to Cahors. Perhaps the local tourist office can tell you more; here is their web.

Bon chance and Bon voyage!

Easiest and probably most expensive is to use a transport service like La Malle Postale. Give them a call or email. They are in MMDD and speak English.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I don't know if there is a tourist office there, as suggested by others, but if there is they are incredibly helpful will work it all out for you and as well (delightfully French) they help make any connections with extreme care to allow for a proper meal at each stop. We had one section where we had two changes and we laughed for a week afterwards about the person helping us saying so seriously,"And 'ere and also 'ere you will 'ave time to eat." No grab a sandwich for the French, don't you just love 'em!

The baggage transport service or maybe even a taxi; the Tourism Office angels can help you organize it.

We could all learn a lot from such an attitude about lunch.

Such an attitude is one of the many and often delicious reasons that I have happily lived in France for 35 years. Bon appetite!
