We are flying into Porto but only starting walking from Tui. Can anyone provide information on how to get to Tui from Porto using public transport? I can't find a bus website which does that route but I know that there are many little bus companies which don't have websites.

Do check the Rometorio website and search for Valença ( Portugal ) and cross the bridge on foot to Tui.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
You can take the train from Porto
See website comboios de Portugal
Nice trip and you’ll see the coast and the Lima river. Nice views

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
ChrisPB,

To help with your planning check out this earlier post re walking through the Valença Fortress towards Tui. Pictures are included.
Bom caminho.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
There's a bus available from right outside the air terminal at Porto airport to Valenca. From there it's only a short walk to the bridge where you enter Spain, into the town of Tui.
Enjoy your Camino...!

To be complete
The ALSA bus (sometimes ) comes from Lisbon and has its stop in Porto center at Casa da Música right nearby the metrostop Trindade . From there it goes the airport .
Than it goes to Braga to the bus station (about 15 minutes walk to the beautifull towncenter) From Braga it goes to Valença where it stops at the busstation about 8 minutes walk to the towncenter, railwaystation and the Fortress
To the bridge it is about 15 minutes if you follow the yellow waymarkers through the fortress.
The bus continues to Vigo busstation
It is about a 20 minutes walk from the Vigo center and the Ursaiz railwaystation where you pick up the waymarkers to Redondela
The last stop of this bus is the Santiago busstation at the backside of the railwaystation and about 15 minutes walk from there to the Cathedral.

picture. The ALSA bus to Porto at the Santiago busstation the other day
