I have read a number of posts on this topic, but still have unanswered questions and I 'll appreciate if someone can help. I would like to forward my suitcase ( not a parcel or in a box) to Santiago as I am still spending another two months in Europe. Is that possible? I do not know exactly when I will be in Santiago, so i cannot book accommodation and thus do not have a forwarding address. Will it be safe for example to leave my DSLR camera in my luggage? My options? Txs

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
You can forward or mail the suitcase to Ivar in Santiago. See above.

Not sure if it would have to be boxed for the mail

Under no conditions would I mail or ship anything of value such as a camera. Just don't do it!

I traveled both pre and post camino and had similar issue. I chose to use a collapsable canvas duffle instead of a suitcase because it seemed it would be easier to find a box in France or Spain to mail forward to SDC. I was never able to find a reassuring answer in regards to finding a box for the suitcase or shipping without one from SJPP unless you arrived via Madrid. In the end I brought my own box/tape, which worked for my travel plans but may not work for you. I shipped to a pension that offered storage at that time.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
