Hi Egbert,

Thanks for your PM, thought I would try to answer your question here if this is something anyone else is also pondering about.

As far as I know there is no direct bus/train between Santiago and Tui. Here is my suggestion:

1) Santiago to Vigo with train, http://www.renfe.es (there are probably also busses, but not sure of company and schedule)

2) Vigo to Tui/Valenca (Tui Spanish side of the river, Valenca Portuguese side)
...by bus.

I did a search for Santiago to Valenca in the forum and found these posts:
search.php?keywords=santiago+to+valenca

... among them was this posts that I posted a while back:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1742&p=6393&hilit=santiago+to+valenca#p6393

I hope this helps a bit... :)

Un saludo,
Ivar

Hello Ivar,
Thanks for the info.
I checked the itinerary for the Betanzos to Tui bus and came up with this .
Itinerary
City Arrives Leaves Days
BETANZOS 12:00
LA CORUĂ‘A/A CORUĂ‘A 12:15 12:15
SANTIAGO COMPOSTELA 13:15 13:15
PONTEVEDRA 14:00 14:00
VIGO 14:30 14:30
PORRIĂ‘O 14:35 14:35
TUY 14:45

It would appear that the bus calls at SDC en route, but where would you catch it? The bus station,or somewhere else?
Regards...................Egbert. 8)

Hello Ivar,
It's Alsa Bus.I got the route from their web page.
Regards from a cold,wet N Ireland.
Egbert. :D

aahh... I did not know that Alsa had this route... :) Great!

All the Alsa buses that I know of go to and leaves from the bus station, so I am pretty sure that that is where it leaves from.

Un saludo,
Ivar
