I'm traveling with my daughter and 2 grandaughters to Santiago in 2 weeks, then we need to get to Sarria to begin walking. I can't find ANY complete bus or train schedules between Santiago and Sarria. We are spending the night in Santiago, then would really love to know exactly how to get to Sarria - I don't really want to wander around trying to locate transportation with 2 children. The websites I found are all in Spanish, and the ones that translate don't give me any options. This can't be a difficult feat, yet I'm stumpted! Help!!

You take a bus from Santiago to Lugo, then transfer to a bus to Sarria. The bus leaving Santiago leaves from the bus station for Lugo. Go to the tourist office in Santiago, and they can help you find the bus station.

Hi Spitfiregirl, We plan to catch the 11am bus to Lugo on Sun 21st, after dropping our onward luggage at San Martin.
Did get a taxi quote to Sarria of 135 Euros which may be ok if there are a few of you. My son and I start with two boys on Monday 22nd.
Might see you along the way.
