Transportation needed from Estella to Bilbao

Hello fellow Peregrinos - I'm hoping that someone can provide knowledge of transportation options for getting a ride from Estella to Bilbao. My wife and I are currently in Pamplona on a layover day (July 1) and will be heading to Puente la Reina tomorrow. Friday morning we will walk the Camino to Estella. We will then need a ride back to Puente la Reina to pickup our suitcases and then to Bilbao where we have a hotel booked Friday evening and then fly home on Saturday morning.

We have emailed several taxi services to inquire however we either get no response or they are unwilling to help us and suggest using buses. The bus option is a possibility however very challenging for us due to the timing of getting to Bilbao.

Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations for any services that can provide this? Or if anyone happens to be traveling a similar itinerary as we are (slim chance I realize) and can share a ride (and pay what is necessary)?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions and advice.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
If all else fails when you do walk into Estella ask for help at the city tourist bureau at 3 calle San Nicolas which is also the camino. Their office is opposite the handsome church of San Pedro de la Rua; the multi lingual staff is always MOST helpful solving pilgrims' logistics.

Good luck and Buen camino!

Thank you for your prompt reply and suggestion! We will consider what you suggest however are looking to book something more concrete so that we avoid the stress of not knowing for certain if we can get to Bilbao or not.

Thanks again

La Estellesa provides bus service between Logrono and Pamplona. They also provide service from Estellesa to San Sebastian.

There is luggage service from Puente la Reina to Estellesa.

I would suggest having baggage sent to Estella by Jacotrans. You likely will find it difficult to make your timings otherwise.

In Estella take Estellesa bus to San Sebastian.

ALSA provides service from San Sebastian to Bilbao. It also provides service from Pamplona to San Sebastian.

PESA provides bus service from San Sebastian/Donostia to Bilbao/Loiu Airport.

La Union y La Burundesa provide bus service from Pamplona to Bilbao

Thanks all for the many helpful responses. We have been using Jacotrans for baggage service and they have been great. We will need to pick a delivery location in Estella for Friday as we are not there overnight.

We also met a Spanish gentleman who suggested taking a bus from Estella to Vitorria and then on to Bilbao as another option that we will explore.

Thank you again for the suggestions.

There are lots of buses La Union y La Burundesa that go to Bilbao from Vitoria. I haven't found a bus line that goes from Estella to Vitoria. It looks like you would have to go to Logrono or Alsasua and transfer there. You're better off going direct from Logrono.
