Transportation to Ponte de Lima

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Ingles 2016
Camino Portuguese 2017
Well we completed the camino Ingles last fall and are now looking at part of the camino Portuguese next fall. I need to get to Ponte de Lima and would like to find the most efficient mode of transportation. We will fly into Lisbon then can fly to a smaller airport then bus, or bus (train?) all the way, etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi! :)

In my opinion, the easiest option would be flying to Porto.
From Porto airport you can take a bus to Ponte de Lima.
I'm not sure how many companies do this service but I know Barquense does it: http://www.barquense.com/v2/images/expresso-aeroporto.pdf
(Para -> To | Desde -> From)

(if you need help translating something feel free to ask)

There are other options to go from Lisboa to Ponte de Lima but I would consider them a little more complicated (and boring), specially for a big group.

We are starting in Ponte de Lima on Easter Sunday. Looks like the bus runs later in the morning so it would arrive to late to start hiking so we have decided to take the morning train to Viana do Castelo and spend the morning visiting that beautiful city and them catch a bus to Ponte de Lima in the afternoon.

We are flying into Lisbon and taking the train to Porto
