Travel agent help

I know most on here do their own bookings. For an April long stay package ( flight and apartments) in Portugal we used a local agent who has been working tirelessly for a refund. When my friend told her we wanted her to keep her commission the agent became quite emotional. No one else had offered, - these folks have been working long hours to help getting people and money back right now and like many others will have a long dry spell.

It’s times like this that you discover just how good your local travel agent is, and the lengths that they will go to for their clients.

We were stranded in Portugal during the Volcanic Ash Over Northern Europe Crisis.

Our flights home to South Africa were from Porto via London (which was shut down), but our travel agent managed to get us rerouted from Lisbon via Maputo (Mozambique).

Now there are 5 of us booked from Johannesburg to Lisbon in June via Luanda (Angola).

Our travel agent is on the ball with keeping us updated on Angolan Airlines current policies . . .

I was looking at the wisepilgrim app for the Frances route and noticed that the distances don't always add up from one side to the other. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I being overly observant...
