Travel from Lourdes to St Jean pied de port

I am considering taking the train from Paris to Lourdes rather than directly to St Jean. Is there transportation from Lourdes to St Jean or do I have to back track. I do not have the time to walk from Lourdes and may just need to go straight to St Jean. Any thoughts on this idea and options for travel would be appreciated.

Suzanna, you can get the train directly from Lourdes to Bayonne, and change there for the train to St Jean Pied de Port. The staff at Lourdes train station are really helpful, and you should have no problem booking this ticket.
