Plan to walk August 2015
Hi, walking the camino in August, funds are tight, is taking a bus to Pamplona from Barcelona cheaper?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Check out Alsa bus web site. and the RENFE rail one. Alsa 32 euros (36 supra economy) and a 6.5/7 hour journey. RENFE is a similar price and takes less than 4 hours. If you are over 60 buy a Tarjeta Dorada (4 euros) for significant discounts on rail travel.

Thanks , I'm 57 & my friend is 45. So I'll have to wait till my 3rd camino to get better rates. One problem is, I was told that last minute tickets for trains are scarce and we probably won't know how long we're going to stay in Barcelona till we get there. We are totally against booking beforehand. We bought 2 tickets for Barcelona on July 28th. ...and Well the rest is destiny!

Bus is probably best for last minute, otherwise check out the lift-sharing website blablacar.es once you've arrived in Barcelona - you can find a spot in someone's car for about €25, there will be loads of people heading to Pamplona in July!

Travel from Barcelona to Pamplona by Renfe train or by bus. Trains leave from Barcelona Sants. Buses leave from Estacion de Autobuses Barcelona Nord and Barcelona Sants. ALSA (via transfer at Zaragosa) and ViBASA are major service providers on this route.

Prices are shown with the schedule on service provider sites.
