Have you evaluate the option BIlbao-Pamplona-Estella or Bilbao-Logroño-Estella by bus? Bilbao is about 150 Km from Estella by the shortest route. In taxi will not be cheap.

At Dublin Airport, I recruited enough walkrd to hire a bus from Bilbao to Estella....all going well...but then Bus company came back and advised that they didn't have a bus available....our plane was late taking off in Dublin..we got the Bus from Bilbao airport into the bus terminus and just made the connecting bus to Pampalona...then with two others, we hired a taxi to estella...the albergue we were due tistay in was closed..waited around till 10pm and met a lady there who allowed us to stay...phew....on the trip overall, we walked to Burgos, about 150kms, on one day we walked around 35kms due to no accommodation in one of the small villages..other than that..it was fine...next trip is next May, from Burgos to , maybe Leon, although that would be a full seven day walk.......looking forward to it..

Last time I was there it was very difficult to get a taxi. It was much easier to use the rented car. Also, perhaps the transfer services will help you. They are very popular now and provide their services at a very low cost. Usually, if I go somewhere, I do it in a big company. If this is a business trip, then there will be at least ten of us. We usually go on vacation with friends, and for sure about 10 people are obtained, and sometimes more. Ordering a taxi will be inconvenient and very expensive. The only right decision was to rent a bus. There is a lot of space, which allows everyone to stay comfortably, and also there are no problems with transporting things.
