Trying to find a fellow pilgrim

My wife and I met a American named Mark on the last stage of the French Camino walking in to Santiago and spent some time with him in Santiago. The last time was saying good bye to him in the Hotel Lux as we left for the train on 21 October 2014 . I lost all his contact details.
I have posted a single photo here , he had a grey bushy beard, a ponytail and glasses. He was walking the Camino to honor the memory of his wife who had passed.
If anyone knows of him that would be great. I can send a photo if there might be a recollection etc.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
I've lost count of the number of times I've wondered about fellow pilgrims. There've been threads about locating fellow-pilgrims before (https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/is-there-a-way-to-find-friends-pilgrims.25702/, https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/how-do-i-locate-fellow-pilgrims.26425/) but they don't seem to go anywhere.
It'd be great if there were a virtual bulletin board...'looking for ____,' perhaps sorted by date of the Camino encounter.
Is there one someplace already?

One thing that worked for me is Facebook, look at the Camino friends you made after your last Camino and at their friends. I found a lot of people I was on the way with by this method. Buen Camino! SY

Yes, Facebook is a great tool for stalkers - sadly. But it does have its uses. I wasn't very good in exchanging contact details with fellow pilgrims and trailing FB friends friends' lists really helped to re-connect with some. Sadly, not with all. SY

Not being a Facebook fan, I like Viranani's idea of a virtual bulletin board…..I am currently in touch (email) with several with whom I had became very close, but there are many others I think about almost daily.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
In Facebook's defense (not that they need me!), you can only do this if the person chooses to have their friends visible.
...

Actually me thinks that applies only to people you are not friends with yet. As soon as you are friends with Pilgrim A, for example, you can see his/her friends and send them a friend request if you recognize somebody you want to re-connect with. SY

:D I believe that may be correct, but one needs to know how to rig up Facebook so that can happen. Therein lies the crux!

Anyway, isn't Facebook exactly what a virtual bulletin board would be?;)
Yes, you're right CClearly, but it would be in a more Camino-specific environment. Problem is, many of the wonderful friends I made along way, were not (gasp!) on this forum, although I spread the word far and wide….

Maybe, maybe.
Thing is, with FB, one has to log in, and do the whole friend thing--the request, the reply, etc. I means spending time on FB...and to be honest, it I want to spend (waste?o_O) time online, here is hugely better than there. But of course, not all are on the forum...

I was thinking more of a simple list, organized by which Camino one had walked...
Date, Name, Nationality. Something like that.

Maybe instead a Camino Forum page on FB?

Posting a photo of somebody without permission not a good idea. I saw a camera smashed over a overbearing snapper. If the gentleman wanted to contact you, did you not give him your details ??
