Updated accommodation and route information

A few and hopefully lots more.
The Voie du Baztan Facebook page shared some new resources this week, which I've attached below.

The first two are the annually updated lists of accommodation along the route (in Spanish and French). The. other one seems to be about a small change to the route. I'm not quite sure what it means, but I'll report again after re-walking this Camino in May.

I still don't understand why so few people walk this route. It's a very beautiful and well-serviced mini-Camino, from Bayonne to Pamplona.

Sadly many people have never heard of any route other than the Frances. Or insist that any other route is an inferior imitation. After finishing the Camino Primitivo I met a young man in Santiago who asked in all seriousness if I planned to walk "the real Camino" next....

Good point, @Bradypus. I always have mixed feelings when extolling the virtues of routes like the Baztán and Primitivo. On the one hand, I feel like encouraging people to experience the joys of a less-travelled route. But on the other, these routes are perfect just as they are and I'd hate to see them become as crowded or commercialised as the CF.

Certainly a dilemma! But now and again we just have to be charitable!!;)

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I'm not in the least excited. No. Not me.
(Oh boy oh boy oh boy!)
And...I can't open those first 2 attachments, Nuala. I get an error 500 message.

Hi @Viranani, hope you managed to open them. If not, I can email them to you (PM me your address). Probably not essential, though as the cathedral issues a printed version with the pilgrim passports. Glad you're looking forward to it!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
