URGENT: How to get from Irún to Biarritz?

Camino de Francés SJPdP-PlR (July 2013)
Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I have to leave the Camino (at least for now) after one week of walking. Could you help me out with completing my itinerary?

I'm currently in Puente la Reina. I have a flight out of Biarritz on Monday afternoon. Tomorrow I'm taking a bus to Irún, which seemed to be the best option for the first leg. But how do I get from Irún to Biarritz?

Thanks in advance!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Sunday July 14, 2013 Train

Depart 11:18am Irun arriving at Biarritz at 12:50pm (1 hour 32 minutes ride)

If you miss the above combination you have a second one same day
1:47PM Irun 1:52PM Hendaye (5min ride) Spanish Train 4087
2:43PM Hendaye 3:10PM Biarritz (27min ride) TGV Atlantic 8544

Thanks so much! I'll go for the second option as my bus to Irún only leaves around 11 PM.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
If you're arriving Biarritz/Bayonne on Sunday, and not leaving 'til Monday 11PM, you might want to consider staying overnight in Bayonne (near the train station) and seeing some of the sights.
Easy walking town, lots of history, and a great spot to spend 24 hours before flying home.
The Biarritz/Anglet airport is a short bus/taxi ride from downtown/Gare Bayonne.

Thanks for your advice, albinvega. Currently in Bayonne and made a stroll through the lovely city centre. A French lady I met on the bus told me also that the average hotel prices are lower than in Biarritz, so it all adds up (July 14 celebrations also seem to be mainly held in Biarritz). Will make my way to the airport tomorrow morning. Great to stay here in the meantime!

Hope you enjoy(ed) your short stay in Bayonne; it is a nice "take a breather" spot --and mucho cheaper than Biarritz!!

If you get a few hours in the morning before heading to Biarritz/Anglet/Bayonne Airport, you might wish to visit the "Basque Museum", located "downtown" on the banks of the Nive River. You'll have no trouble finding a brochure/directions and these folks have done a wonderful job of depicting the history of Basque culture, traditions, etc., on several floors of an ancient but refurbished building.

The upper few floors have been done as an art gallery type space with lots of natural light and quite amazing and very colourful artworks. The lower floors are more into the old farm implements, chocolate making procedures/tools/etc., and very, very well done.

The building is probably 2 short blocks from where the bridges spanning the confluence of the Nive/L'Adour Rivers meet; maybe an 8-10 minute walk, max, from the train station.
