Be very careful after leaving Deba someone has painted black over the arrows and has placed a couple of black arrows pointing the wrong way. They have repainted the yellow arrows out of Deba but after about 1 km the arrows are missing. Be careful and look for square black patches on the trees, that is where the yellow
Arrows were. The tourist office in Deba warned us but a few pilgrims took the wrong turns eventually realising things were not right and asked locals. Shame on the person or persons that did this.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I found this to be the case last spring, but the trick was to look at the path and see which way all the footprints and bike tracks went. It was muddy enough to see the difference between the correct trail with many footprints and the wrong one with no recent footprints.

Ufortunately that has been like that for some years. It looks like someone for some reason found the yellow arrows upsetting.
But as you well said all you have to do is follow the black marks which cover the yellow arrows until you find the yellow arrows
once again.

In any case enjoy the walk, it´s lovely.:)

Ondo Ibili !
I was there September 2012. The hospitalero in Deba gave us very good directions and warned us about the misleading arrows

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
I walked there a few days ago. You can ask for a map from tourist information centre that shows you correct way, as even with arrows it is a bit of a confusing stage. If i find thr map in my backpack i will upload it.

The irony is if the local that if the local didn't want pilgrims traipsing on his/her land then hiding the arrows and having folks walking round in circles is only going to increase that
