I walked the Via de la Plata from Seville to Santiago in May-June 2009. I wrote a daily blog as I walked and published it to the web whenever I had the opportunity, usually several times a week. This was for my own amusement and for the benefit of my friends back home. I have no religious faith and the blog is written from a secular point of view. It is unlikely to be of enormous interest to people who don't know me but I made a point of including any practical, factual information that was new to me. That is, I noted information that was not in the 2005 edition of Alison Raju's Cicerone guide and had not been mentioned on this forum in the six months before my walk. For that reason, there may be some useful points to be gleaned from the blog by anyone contemplating walking the VdlP in the next year or so. The blog is at http://aldernath.blogspot.com/.

Thank you very much!

I have read through your blog and found it most interesting. By coincidence, my own Godesalco plan came out with 45 days, just like you...

Your blog has more or less convinced me that my 2011 Camino will be on VdlP. Thanks again!
