Has anyone walked this route from Zamora to Verin via Portugal in past months? Any updated info would really be appreciated. I'm heading out from Sevilla in a few days and planning to take this way. Cheers Grace

Hi Grace
Did you succeed taking this route?
I would like to do the same, leaving Sevilla on April 8, 2015.
Did you find something?
Hugo

Hi Hugo,
Yes I did take the route (sorry I’ve been travelling and just returned)
It was great fun but not without difficulty. I did not have GPS and was lost most days. Also getting food was quite a problem as the Portuguese eat earlier than the Spanish and most villages closed by the time we arrived. Also no shops/bars at all in a lot of the villages and they relied on the travelling vans for bread/fish/meat and fruit.
The marking was sparse too and there were ‘official’ markers covered with overgrown grass in places - just dumped and not erected.

It was certainly my favourite camino experience to date!
Cheers, Grace
