If you plan to be in Santiago the weekend of June 28 - July 1, it's really important that you book your accommodations as soon as possible. The O Son do Camiño music festival will be taking place at Monte de Gozo with headliners The Killers, Jamiroquai, and Lenny Kravitz. Albergues and hotels are already filling up in town, and those finishing the Camino that weekend and hoping to find something on the fly may face drastically reduced availability and high rates.
So, at the expense of sounding insufferably melodramatic but also knowing the incredible stress a packed Santiago can cause pilgrims, we'd recommend you search now and book something.
