Well will start again with typing. Got my whole list together and then my pc went dead...restart like the day I walked out wrongly from Redondela...So my own personal and subjective view of the albergues and pensiones on my Camino Portugues...
Porto : Pensoa Central, indeed very central in Matosinhos for 37 € for a single room/own bathroom and breakfast. Metrostop in front of door.

Vila do Conde : Hospedaria Casa Venceslau : own private / bathroom for 25 €. Lovely people and brilliant homemade cooking in their resto. Menu del dia for 6 €.

Pedra Furada , the Acogida of Anton Martins has an award winning resto, this was closed but the bar and his mini albergue of two bunkbeds and one private room was open. 12 € for bed in bunkbed. Anton has wisdom of knowledge about the Portugues and seems to know everyone living on it. He even gave two pilgrims the keys to his private place in Barcelos!!! And his sisters make delicious food.

Tamel : municipal Casa da Recoleta : 5 € for a bunkbed. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Albe...e-Tamel-S-Pedro-Fins-Barcelos/119709354721215
Brilliant place, friendly and clean. Minishop in the albergue, very well equipped kitchen.
One of the best municipales I ever stayed in.

Ponte de Lima : hard walk that day and minor health issues so treated myself last minute to Inlima Hotel & Spa : 65 € but with elaborate breakfast included.
Would do it again!

Rubiaes : chose for the new private one since the muni was just one big room with 34 beds in one room.
NINHO is the private one, 12 € for a bunkbed. The fellow pilgrim, that I met daily from Pedra Furada on, and I had a room with two bunkbeds all for our own.
Nice owners and very artful decorated albergue.

Tui, private one El Camino for 12 € again.

Nice tapasplace downstairs. We chose this albergue seeing the muni was just aside the catedral and we wanted some peace and quiet.

O Porrino : was a short day so already in town at 1 o' clock and albergue opened only at 3. So private pension at Pension Louro with private bathroom for 25 €. No website just call ahead or ask at the door.

Cesantes , three k. after Redondela : Refuxio de la Jerezana http://www.hostel-redondela.com/
They also serve dinner and breakfast , together with the bunkbed : 21 €. Marie is a lovely owner and she runs a beautiful albergue and gets it just right!

Pontevedra : Habitaciones Alicia : double room , spotlessly clean but very oldfashioned and with plastic flowers lol : 15 € each.
http://habitacionescasaalicia.blogspot.be/2012/01/inicio_25.html

Caldas de Reis : Albergue O Cruceiro, basically a converted hostal with rooms for 2, 4 or 6 people. Fellow peregrina and I chose a room for two , 12.50 € each. Clean and all ammenities but a bit unpersonal.

Seemed a perfectly run machinery....

Padron : double room with bathroom for 33 € total so 16.50 € each.
Nice owner and good enough for a pilgrim although some people on tripadvisor think less so. Was good.

Short day to Ames to Casa do Cruceiro, casa rural just 400 metres off the Camino.
Double luxurious room for 52 € with breakfast included. No shops in village so buy stuff beforehand. Bar only opens on fridays and weekends. So 26 € each.

Pension Hortas in Santiago de Compostela is becoming my favourite place in this town. Just 200 metres from cathedral en route to Finisterre.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Great list, Sabine.
We loved Pension Hortas too! Super clean, beautifully remodeled and not 3 mins to the Cathedral! Stayed there twice now.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
NINHO was fantastic. one of our informal group broke her wrist on the way and the owner was so helpful bringing her to the hospital etc

Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
