Villafranca

Time of past OR future Camino
Sept,26 2017
We walked from coulumbriano outside Ponferrada to villafranca today it got worse as we walked . My eyes and throat are sensitive and irritated as well as my nose. My clothes have ash visible on them. Everyone is covering their faces . Restaurants are washing ash from table tops and patios. I think we will hunker down and see what develops . Hopefully rain.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Albergue Leo would be a great place to hunker down but suspect you've already found accommodation. Stay safe.

Just a couple suggestions about fires if you can’t see more than 300 Meters, your in bad smoke for your health bus out of it.

If you see fire in the distance with high winds the smoke will puff big plumes of smoke in a row turn around & bus around it. Fire moves very fast in those conditions it actually creates its own wind & fire twisters.
