I was asked, how to walk from the airport Francisco Sá Carneiro to Angeiras. There is a tunnel under the runway, Rua da Fabrica. I t´s only 1 hour to walk from the airport to Angeiras. There is a link:

Unfortunately I could not mark the way from the airport exit turning left through the fright area, a small footpath at the meeting point : https://www.google.de/maps/@41.2422...7rqHjfSo3MwfnX_llQzQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en to Rua de Caralinda > Rua da Prosela > Rua das Bicas > tunnel Rua da Fabrica. I could only mark it at the exit of the tunnel. A pilgrim reported, there are green arrows after the tunnel.

I have done the "bluepoint" way twice because of shopping at Pingo Doce supermarket, the cheapest one. There are no ups and downs. Well , some pilgrims took the metro to Vilar do Pinheiro (change at Verdes) and walked from there to Angeiras. It´s 10 minutes shorter and also flat.

Bom caminho, Rainer

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
There is a tunel below the runway, Rua da Fabrica.

Hi Rainer, many thanks for this info. It’s useful to know there is a tunnel under the runway. Presumably there is a pedestrian pavement, so the tunnel is safe to walk through?

Olá Jill, It´s safe to walk through. Have a look:

After the tunnel take next street to the right, Rua de Paiço to the end. There are signs to the left Lavra / Praia / Campismo -:
