Hi, I walked the Frances last year in September and it was fantastic. I’m planning to walk the portugués coastal route late August. Can anyone advise me if it’s too hot? I’m also wondering if it will be too crowded with holiday makers in the coastal towns?
Any advice would be great.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
I have just finished Portuguese, it was cold and wet but I would imagine it would be beautiful in August. I would definately stick to the coast as the cobblestones inland are a killer......just saying

Also best time to walk late August the blackberries are in abundance .......

Hi, my wife and I are also planning to do the coastal route in late August, probably starting in Povoa de Varzim or Esposende. We were planning to do it on our own, i.e., set our own pace. As we have trouble sleeping anyway, we are planning to stay in hotels. But looking at hotels along the route on booking.com, I'm finding they're booking up FAST. I don't want to try to pre-book this trip four months in advance but we're worried we may start walking and find no place to stay, even into early September. Can anyone with experience doing the Portuguese coastal comment on the availability of accommodations during this time period? Thanks

I started August 29 last year from Lisbon and it was very hot for nearly 2 weeks. Mid to high 30 degree Celsius.

My wife and I are walking from Porto in August and are staying mainly in hotels booked on Booking.com. I choose mostly hotels that can be cancelled without charge. I changed my mind on some of my bookings and can say that recently and previously I have never had any issue with doing this from either Booking.com or any of the hotels I cancelled.

I would like to walk the river route in Tui next month. I can see on google maps exactly where it starts, but it seems a bit overgrown. Has anybody used this route this year or last year...
Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
Hi I have searched everywhere to see if there is a luggage service from Lisbon to Porto. I know there is from Porto to Santiago, but Lisbon ???. Thanks for any info.
