Walking in May/June

I'm posting my first question here, and I look forward to being active in the forum in the coming months. I'm very close to finalizing plans to walk the Camino from Mid-May into late June. My question tonight is, how cool/cold do I need to plan for, as far as clothing is concerned? Any tips?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hi I left Roncesvalles on May 8th 2006 and took 35 days to get to Santiago. I had just a couple of days of rain towards the end, the rest of the time it was dry. Most of the time the temp was totally pleasant, on a few occasions even in June in the Meseta area it was quite cold, frost on ground and a cold wind with day time temp not exceeding 10 degrees C. I had shorts, 3/4 lightweight pants, a windstopper fleece and raincape, as well as a merino t shirt. This was just enough. I did need a fleecy type bike hat, but did not have one, so used black undies to secure socks which covered my ears, all held in place by a sunhat. Hilarious, but it worked. I did not need gloves or longjohns. Hope this helps with your planning. Gitti

hforgot to say, may legs were bright red from the cold on some mornings, but I stopped for breakie and a coffe as soon as poss and by the time I was on the trail again the sun was warming everything and I felt fine. The key is to keep moving. Gitti

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

LOL Gitti :D . On our way up to Cruz de Ferro in freezing conditions I became deeply envious of a fellow pilgrims fleece balaclava and sunhat combo. I wanted to rig one up myself using a pair of knickers and a hat, however my walking partner said "Nell if we're going to die lets die with dignity"...... but next time dignity be damned!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The undies were black, you could not really tell! I am pleased I did not have an accident though. Gitti
