Hello.

I'm thinking on walking part of either the via de la plata from Seville or one of the other ones from alicante or valencia in the next week or so. has anyone done this in winter? can anyone shed any light on the facilities available at this time of year?

Thank you!
Daphne

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Hola Daphne - I'm on the Camino Mozárabe from Córdoba right now. There are four other pilgrims including 2 who started in Granada. Where there are Albergues they are open though cold. Hostals are readily available.

I've walked the Via de la Plata from Sevilla in January and again the Albergues were open and there were other facilities open. I used the accommodation list from the resources section of the forum.

Buen Camino

Yes I have a guidebook to it. there is a version in the resources section of the forum - but I'm in the middle of a revision. let me know if you are going to walk from Madrid to Sahagún.

Today - clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine in extremadura

I've walked in November and enjoyed it -- sunny, cool days. I like to stay in pensiones or inns (casas rurales), and they're readily available at this time of year.

Good luck!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
