Hi all - just negotiating diary time with the wife so i can take two weeks for the Portuguese route. Im looking at mid sept - not sure on coastal or inland yet.

Has anyone done that period and have any thoughts or tips?

Thanks in advance

Mick

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi, I finished central route Porto to Santiago on Monday... and it’s been fab. The albergues were busy as I believe sept is a busy month for the Portugués Way, but only twice did I really struggle for accommodation, and had to pay for a nice hotel. The actual walk didn’t feel crowded, nor the cafes on route as everyone leaves at slightly diff times. The weather has been fantastic, not one drop of rain.

Enjoy and Buen comino

Kate

Will finish the Portuguese coastal route in 5 days. Weather has been pretty good but quite a bit of fog in the mornings along the coast. It usually lifts by noon or earlier. Last two days, the fog has been less. No rain to speak of (I think that is unusual - particularly in Galacia).

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I walk the Central Way this Oct around 19th, Arcos to SDC. Any tips are also welcome!
