Hi, I'm walking the Camino Frances in May this year and would like to buy an altus poncho, size M-L. I've checked the posts and most are from 2017 so likely those were sold. Just wondering if anyone has one to sell. Otherwise, I'll hope to buy one in SJPDP.
Thanks.
Judy

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Amazon have them. And i have seen them in SJPDP

I am an American and I bought one online at a store in Madrid. This was 6
Years ago so I am sure things may have changed. At that time there was no outlets in the States that carried Altus. My Spanish isn’t that good but I had no problems. Sorry I don’t remember the store I bought it at but it was easy. I want to the store the day after I arrived. Showed them the receipt and walked out 2 minutes later with my pancho. I remember seeing it at a shop by the Pilgrim office in St.
Jean and the same pancho was ALOT more money.

Thanks @It56ny. I'll likely end up buying one at SJPDP because I fly into Paris. I just thought someone might have one for sale that I could buy before hand.

I can't predict the weather it may rain a lot, but 2 years ago i walked end of April to middle of June. It rained 3 times. I took a couple of those plastic bag type ponchos that people use at festivals. Dirt cheap and they fit over a backpack.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Just for information, if you don't find one in St Jean, there is a good pilgrim shop in Pamplona too.

Thanks @kayagee66. I think I want something a bit more substantial, even though I'll need to pay a bit more.

Judy, if your interested in a Black L/XL Altus, worn over 4 rainy days in 2013, and in fabulous condition (as new, no rips etc...) I’d be happy to sell for $50 + $20 AUD Shipping - total $56 US. Just PM me to arrange. I’m only 5’8” but I found a L/XL to be a better fit when accounting for covering my pack.

Either way Buen Camino!

Thanks, @Consigliere, but I'm sure a L/XL would be too big for me.
