I started north of St. Gaudens where I live, and have walked to Oloron-st-Marie. Up to Bagneres-de-Bigorre was very confusing but from there on the local people know pilgrims and are a very helpful. I depart from Oloron on 25 May, and go via Jaca.

Where can I find more informations about accommodation? Is there Aalburgs available? Is there arrows can we follow?

I struggled also. It depends on your route. If you follow the classical way via Toulouse, Auch then to Pau, then I am sorry that I cannot help. Others may respond hopefully.

Be careful, "hit me" and "hit on me" have very different meanings...

Where do you want to start? In Arles? You should be aware that the Arles route can be quite lonely (last year only 164 pilgrims walked from Arles to Santiago). Some of the sections are remote and physically challenging. You often need to book ahead for a bed in a "gite d'etape", and the cost is usually around €20-35. It's very different to the camino paths in Spain - it definitely needs more planning, more flexibility, and a higher budget.

Anyway this website will help you to get started (it's in Spanish, but you should be able to get some basic information. For anything you don't understand, there's always Google translate!)

The Arles route turns into the "Aragones" from Somport (in the Pyrenees) and then joins the Camino Frances in Puente la Reina. Happy planning!

You may have to dig through info to find what you want ... part of the planning fun.

Hey....thanks for your information. We have walked 5 routes in Spain, so we thought might be the good time to walk a new one from France would be nice. And yes we want to start from Arles.

I will do some homework first and then maybe I can decide if we are capable to walk or not.

Btw: what is the difference between hit me and hit on me? English is not my native language and I made mistakes all the time. Hope it's not inappropriate.

Nothing too bad. If you want someone to "hit on you" it means you want them to flirt with you
