Hello,

Anyone on Camino Finisterre at the moment? Just wondering what the weather is like?

thanks,

Paul.

Paul,

If you look at my wife's live blog you'll get a good idea - http://www.scottishfootsteps.blogspot.com

From what she's said it's been warm/hot, sunny and cloudy with a little drizzle here and there. Today she's walking from Muxia to Finisterra where she finishes her Via de la Plata, and where she will spend a few days recovering.

If there is one thing I have learned since moving here it is that the weather can change from one minute to the next! I can leave my school in Vimianzo and drive the 6 klms west to Carantoña to a completely different weather situation. Being near the sea, of course, will affect how the weather will be: yesterday it was rainy and a bit gloomy (major fog the night before). Today it started out the same but by 3 o´clock it was bright and sunny and a bit more humid than it has been. Temperature rounds out between 19 and 24 degrees, but Saturday it touched 32 in Pontevedra when I was there! All part of the fun of Galicia, folks!

Two months on from the last post on this thread, I can tell you that this week I have NEVER SEEN RAIN LIKE IT IN MY LIFE! I don´t use capital letters out of context very often but this one merits it. Wednesday was like a monsoon, except monsoons stop more quickly. Absolutely unbelievable. But we carry on. We get wet and we dry out. We laugh when arriving at a bar looking like a drowned rat and accept the laughter of similarly afflicted pilgrims. And we arrive at our destination feeling that we´ve done a ´real´pilgrimage.

Sorry I just arrived yesterday and now back in Santiago so I´m still in happy land. Now back to the bar...

Buen Camino!

Hi all We are walking the reverse Camino from Muxia to Santiago via Fisterra. Any tips or information to help us on our way?
