Camino Frances "2013" had to stop half way due to tendonitis ... Continuing May 2014..postponed to 2015. SdC to Muxia 2016.
Have read on one of my weathers apps that there is an impending 'tempête de Nord' forecast for Logroño on May 11th. Watch those ponchos!

Karin - one week to start...

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Oh my gosh.. what a rude Spring!

Robbers on the VDLP and tempests on the Frances!
What to do?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
   :?

I know Reb, but I'm skeered.
That route is quite lonesome.
Fine when the bandits aren't so bold

Joe said he'd walk the VDLP with me next spring so this year I will do a lone Camino Frances.
Maybe I'll make a point of picking up trash.

I'll stop by and say hello if you're home when I pass Moratinos.

All the weather forecasts that I read for Logroño on Spanish local websites for the next couple of weeks have a great weather forecast for Logroño-- partly cloudy in the range 18-24 deg Celsius! :?: For as much as weather can be predicted with any certainty, I sure cannot find any indication of bad weather....

Once you get soaked and wet by rainfall once on the Camino, it becomes a non-issue afterwards-- thunderstorms?....well that's different.

Sorry! My app website has now dhanged his mind. False alarm! Why can't they get the forecasts right these days?

La Voz de Galicia has reported the death of a 65 year old pilgrim from the United States this afternoon near Castromaior. The likely cause appears to be a heart attack. The pilgrim was walking the...
I’m heading to the Frances shortly and was going to be a bit spontaneous with rooms. I booked the first week just to make sure and was surprised at how tight reservations were. As I started making...
This is my first posting but as I look at the Camino, I worry about 'lack of solitude' given the number of people on the trail. I am looking to do the France route....as I want to have the...
My first SPRINGTIME days on the Camino Francés 🎉 A couple of interesting tidbits. I just left Foncebadón yesterday. See photo. By the way, it's really not busy at all on my "wave". Plenty of...
Hello, I would be grateful for some advice from the ones of you who are walking/have recently walked from SJPdP :) 1 - How busy is the first part of the camino right now? I read some reports of a...
