Hi. I'm starting from Irun June 9th. Is there anybody reading this who is already on the del Norte and, if so, can you let me know what the weather is doing at the moment? Thanks & Buen Camino. Chris

Hi, It is very hot and sunny here in Santiago currently but watching the spanish weather forecast last night there was a big rainy cloud over the beginning of the Norte area, if that helps at all?
I drive back and forth from Santiago to Ribadeo yesterday, and there was not a cloud in the sky. These last few days are the first of the season with over 30c temperatures, so hat and sunblock would be required.
We are starting the 18th in Santander. Hope to see you on the trail. 8)
Here is a great link from Weather Channel, just select the city. After the current weather is shown, click on a link at the top to see 10-day weather forcast.

Hi folks,
I am just back in the U.K. after 5 weeks on the Way from Santander, on the Norte and Primitivo. Weather wise I got lucky and only had 3 days which could be called 'WET'. In other words I had poncho and trousers on all day. Other days had some wet times but mostly in the afternoon and evenings. Best advice would be 'get up and get on' especially in the mountains where there is often a change in the late afternoon.
Take care and don't hurry! The world can wait, it is you and the Camino that are important!
If people are still following this thread I´m in guernika. The last 5 days on the Norte from irun have been beautiful--sunny with clear blue skies, temperatures between about 21-25. It´s lovely.
