Week Sixty One - the Spanish-based US anthropologist Nancy Frey talks history, culture and what it means to be a pilgrim

DanfromSydney

DanfromSydney
Time of past OR future Camino
2016 (Frances); 2017 from Lourdes to Santiago
This is the podcast you want to listen to if you're a beginner or a long-time listener. Who is St James? How did his remains end up in Spain? Why do pilgrims wear a shell?
Nancy Frey has lived and breathed the Camino for 25 years. This, I think, is as good as it gets. Enjoy, Dan.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I agree, Dan!!! Love this podcast. Hoping many listen in. I learned at lot from it and will look up Nancy Frey for more. Now, when shall I go to Padron? The Primitivo is now on my bucketlist too.

Thanks Michelle ... so pleased you enjoyed it. I couldn't believe the time went so quickly!! I could have talked to Nancy for hours. Yes Padron is now on the bucket list! THanks for listening Michelle Buen Camino
