Hi all.
I'm thinking about walking from Seville to Astorga next month but I'm wondering what (if any) of the albergues will be open as it's still early in the year. Also does anyone have an up-to-date list of albergues (or other accommodation where necessary) for this route? All of the guide books I've researched seem to be quite out of date.

It is a couple of years ago now but I walked from Seville on the 1st of January and had no difficulty with accommodation - a few places I decided to use cheap hostels. I think in Febraury the albergues will be open and the hospitaleros wil advise what is open ahead of you.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
In Feb. the albergues are mostly "open," but you have to track down the person with the key to let you in. They don´t stay around waiting for pilgs to show up... at least not til March, or Holy Week, or April, whichever comes first.
