Dear All,
Having made it down to the delightful Llanes, the question has arisen, or rather the questions: what is different from the CF and what is different second time around?
We´re not seeing much in the way of discarded gear, nor much in the way of peregrinos for that matter. I am informed that the CF is already very full. One thing that is peculiar, for me, are the number of albergues that don´t open until 3pm! Seriously? An early start makes for a long wait. Today there was lashing rain most of the morning, another change, but now we have some sun.
This camino is proving more expensive and I don´t want to calculate the percentage of nights spent in private rooms as opposed to dorms. When it rains, one takes a little comfort where one can.
As to the 2nd question, does the camino lose a little of its romance the second time? Maybe you think so.
Buen camino...
